Carrier of the year : a palm for Goëvia !

3 Apr, 2023

Every year for the past 35 years, L’Officiel des Transporteurs has organized its Carrier of the Year award. France’s leading road haulage magazine once again met with professionals from the road haulage industry on March 27 at the Parc des Princes, on the eve of the SITL trade show. Selected by the jury, Transports Goëvia won a prize for its dynamic, inclusive human resources policy and its propensity to innovate in a responsible manner. A true distinction in the Road Freight Transport sector, this award confirms the resilience of the company after the difficulties of the Covid period.

Focus on the Carrier of the Year, a key event in the MRT industry

Each year, four companies are awarded the “Carrier of the Year” prize. The winner is awarded the title of Carrier of the Year, and the others the Transport Award.

The prestige of this award stems from its mode of operation: it is a distinction delivered by the profession, after a very selective process – and at the discretion of an ambitious jury. This year, the jury was chaired by Valérie Lassalle of Transports Lassalle, winner of the prize in 2021.

The four candidates had their grand oral on the day of the election, Monday March 27, 2023 at the Parc des Princes. The prize and the awards were presented at the end of the day, on the eve of the kick-off of SITL, the Transport and Logistics Innovation Week.

A distinction possible thanks to the digitalization and the abnegation of your carrier

Winning the Carrier of the Year award is a real recognition for Transports Goëvia, which has managed to overcome the obstacles linked to the Covid crisis and their difficulties of the previous years. In 2020, all the teams of the transport company had to work hard to make up for a 6M€ turnover delay, due to the pandemic and the loss of a major customer (Rexel).

Thanks to theenrichment of the commercial strategy under the prism of digital and proximity trade, without forgetting the chartering and the structuring contributions of the major accounts, Goëvia has succeeded in transforming this delay into an opportunity. Instead of “catching up” €6M in revenue, the staff has rebuilt €8M in additional revenue for 2023.

The implementation of Goëvia Online is a real highlight in theacceleration of our business development. It has enabled us to address hundreds of new local customers in a fully automated way, so that sales can be based on a greater diversity of customers… A real plus for stabilizing the business and reducing dependency effects.

The development of digital technology has also enabled diversify the offers to better adapt them to each client (palletized messaging offer), to accelerate average payment times and to simplify transport order management as much as possible… All this with a view to refocusing on tasks that bring more value, such as managing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

This distinction constitutes a new stage in the beautiful family history of Transports Goëvia, around its successes, its values and its ethics… It enthuses all the company, which thanks its customers, its collaborators and all those which trust it daily.

In 2023, Transports Goëvia will maintain the same requirements in terms of investment, innovation and continuous improvement. These requirements are shared by all of the company’s employees, who work every day to create a more virtuous world.
